Ok, you might hate this but try a Boss Super Overdrive on a low gain setting just to preamp it a little bit. That's what I use on my JCM800.

@Vraptr7 It's because he's only got 1 vol-tone knob each. You need 2 volume pots to do it with the toggle switch. If I had a wolfgang I'd rewire it to get rid of the tone pot and have 2 volumes. You can change tones by varying the pickup volumes and the toggle switch.
