I used to grow sprouts in my ruck when in the field. A couple of nalgene bottles and I could rotate crops every couple days. A small bottle of seeds would last me a week and a half or more.

I've grown sprouts for years, even in the field when I was on active duty, but I haven't a clue how long the seeds will be viable in storage. Do you have any info on how long the different varities will store?

@boredfrank It does save the government money but I can't explain that to you in 500 characters or less. Do some research and you will see the reasons for it. I say this with 23 years of military service behind me and that includes 3.5 years in different combat zones.
