This comment from one of my subscribers pretty much sums up why I teach handicrafts:

"These little things can make friends so happy. Sometimes when a friend is having a hard time, a bad day, a 'fuck my life moment', one of these little gifts can turn their day around and make them so happy"

I teach and share my ideas and designs for people to enjoy, make them as gifts for friends, family, teachers, doctors, people that have helped them etc.. This is so much more than making paper things, its showing thanks and appreciation in the form of intricate handcrafted art.

Little things make a difference
^_^

--3D origami FAQ--

Q- how do you make the pieces?
A- look up the vid 3d origami for beginners (in the youtube searchbar)

Q-what size is the rectangle piece to fold a triangle?
A-approx. 3.5 x 5cm. its cut from A4 paper (21x 29.7cm) divided into 32 rectangles, 8 across, 4 down, as shown in "3D origami for beginners"

Q-Do I have to use A4 size paper?
A-no, you can use any rectangle paper

Q-Can I use other paper? Does construction paper work?
A-yes. it did for me. It didnt for some people, so test it out with a few pieces to see if it works, before making loads of pieces.
You can use any paper as long as it has grip/ stays together

Q-Does it matter if some pieces arent the same size?
A- nope, they can be slightly different sizes as you cant get it exactly accurate, ofcourse, you would try to keep them the as equal as possible

Q-How do you make your pieces stay together so strongly?
A- It easily stays together by itself. Even if you're using printer paper or cardstock, some are still slippery.
You just have to try different paper until it works/ has enough grip

Q-do you use glue?
A- no. only for bead eyes, securing arms, legs & ears. My pieces don't need glue to stay together. You can use glue if you want if your paper is slippery.

Q-what paper do you use? & where do you buy it?
A-copy/printer paper & cardstock from stationery shops, dollar stores. I live in NZ and my shops are different
so just look in art/craft/stationery/office supply sections of shops where they sell paper and stationery

Q-what do you use for the eyes? where do you get it?
A- black beads from a black beaded necklace from the $2 shop
[nearly all of my craft supplies are from the $2 shop/dollar stores or craft shops/craft sections of department stores]

Q-How do you make the model bigger?
A-either use bigger pieces and follow the tutorial exactly, or use more of the normal sized pieces and increase the amount per row, and add more rows. you'll have to make it up yourself though

Q-can I make it a different colour?
A- ofcourse. You can do whatever you want with your 3D origami

Q-how do you design models?
A- its just like playing with building blocks/ lego. build with pieces to make up an animal/cartoon character.
take pieces off when it doesnt look right and rebuild it/ modify it until you're happy with the look
About Me:

I teach the awesome handicrafts that arent as easy to find out there. Mainly 3D origami as its become a fulfilling hobby. It started when I had a severe skin problem on the face & body which got infected and was ongoing for 3 months. I didnt think anyone could treat it until I went to a dermatologist that treated it in 3 days. I made a large 3D origami peacock to thank him, and if I didnt know how to do this craft I wouldnt've been able to show how thankful I was other than just say 'thankyou' which isn't enough. So I wanted to share this amazing craft
with other people so they can make inspiring gifts for their friends, family, & people that have helped them.
Interests:
amigurumi/crochet, kawaii HANDICRAFTS!! azn dramas^^ art & design

jewellia7777 I've figured out a pattern with the postage prices and package weight. Its better to buy atleast 25-30 sticks cos most people that buy 10 sticks dont expect that postage would cos that much (minimum $11.50NZD/ which is around $9USD) so postage ends up more than the sticks and isnt worth it, so its better to get 25-30 sticks. prices are here http://jewellia7777.blogspot.co.nz/20...
