This is a song by Willi Kollo from the movie "Wir tanzen um die Welt" (We are dancing around the world), a musical/melodrama about a troupe of dancers made in 1939... It starred among others Carola Höhn, Irene von Meyendorff, Charlotte Thiele and Carl Raddatz who sang this song briefly in the movie...
The movie saw Charlotte Thiele in a leading role. She only had a short career in movies, ending in 1944. She is best remembered for her roles in "Titanic" (1943, as mrs Astor) and the propaganda movie "Ich klage an" (1941, as a doctor). She was the picture perfect ice cold blonde...Although she sometimes played sympathetic parts, she always looked as if she was going to shoot her partners point blank (Had times been different, she would not have been out of place in a Hitchcock movie!). She died in 2004.
Beauty Carola Höhn on the other hand had a long career in both movies, television and the stage, specialising in old age in the role of "Grande dame". she died in 2005.
Irene von Meyendorff was from a noble family and equally enjoyed a long career until she married actor and botanist James Robertson Justice and moved to England where she died in 2001.
This is a recoring from 1941 in a big band sound.

Update on Audio Recording:
Normally we recorded our 78s on 78rpm and then processed them using digital filters from the wave-editor program.
But we like Experiments, so we did something completely different now.
Instead of recording in 78rpm, we recorded in 33rpm and then did the de-clicking etc. with the digital filters.
After that, we increased up the speed digital, so that it would sound like a 78 record again.
The result is astonishing, compare with the straight 78rpm recording.
Less noise and clicks are audible and the sound is much better!
We are using a Nagaoka JT-322 cartridge with a special 78rpm styles on a Sony PS3750 turntable converted to 78 rpm. This is a stereo cartridge and we recording the stereo-signal in mono on our wave-editor.
The cartridge is normally connected stereo, but we found out that connecting the cartridge mono works better!
There are two ways of connecting the cartridge mono. One is for lateral and the other for vertical cut records. We used the lateral version.
The left + is signal, then the left-ground goes to the right-signal and the right-ground is then the ground-signal.
So: L+ white = +Out / LG blue to R red / Rg green = ground-Out.
Update on Video Recording:
We have switched to 720px HD and we use now a better video-editor.
We also found a program to improve the video-quality.
The video is made with a Toshiba Camileon S10 on Full HD at 30 frames and converted for YouTube to 720px HD.
