I used to cut off old grips, and put hairspray on the new ones, slide them on, and let them dry. That takes a while to let them dry though\, but they never moved at all after that.

This should be called how to fill an aquarium with sand, not clean. I use play sand and have to "clean" it before doing this. Either way this helped me a lot and was a great idea.
