Making 12% on Apple, and 7% on RIM does not yield 19%. It yields (12%+7%)/2 = 9.5%, as long as you invested the same amount in each position.

Depends on what country you're in. 187 should not be too tall. I'm 183, and height wasn't an issue. I would worry more about the having grades and the physical fitness to be competetive. Grades need to be around 3.7/4.0 or BETTER to be competetive. Height is something you can't control, how ...
