About Jesus in the City Parade
The Jesus in the City Parade is a live musical street pageant of worshippers and paraders costumed as biblical characters opening the Bible in a striking display of the arts in worship. Floats staging live bands and choirs move along downtown streets. Banners of the books of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation are raised high as participants wearing colorful parade T-shirts sing and dance spreading hope, love, peace and the joy of salvation. Thousands enthusiastically celebrate and worship on the streets once a year with the sound of trumpets, stringed instruments, organs and cymbals, at the Jesus in the City Parade, sponsored by Festival of Praise International.
The 2012 Toronto Parade is scheduled for Saturday, September 8, 2012.
The parade assembles at Queen's Park North and moves along Bloor Street, Yonge Street, College Street and back to Queen's Park.
