Hey all - My name is Jessica Smith. I am working on my demo right now, but I wanted to start to get myself out there. So I am going to give you a quick run down of all the things that I have done before this point. When I was a little girl I couldn't stop singing, there wasn't a time when I wasn't singing. Later on, as I was growing up I realized that I wanted to have a place to sing - other than just to my parents. At that point, when I was 9 years old, I auditioned for and was selected to a children's choir, called Treblemakers. It was here that I was exposed to many opportunities. With Treblemakers, when I was still just 9 years old, our group performed at the dedication of the Thomas J. Dodd Research Center at the University of Connecticut, where the keynote speaker was the then President Bill Clinton. The next year, Treblemakers recorded and released the CD "Singing for Treblemakers: Songs for Young Singers." A few years later, when I was 13, our group performed at the Connecticut Community School of the Arts production of "The Gondoliers." At the end of that year, Treblemakers performed back up for Judy Collins. In 2000, when I was 14 years old, Treblemakers recorded 46 songs for the "Silver Burdett Gin" new music program. We also started the recording of the next CD "Treblemakers: Our Favorite Folk Songs" which was released in 2002. During this time through 2004 I was taking voice lessons with Katrina Armando. I also do some work for my local church where I am typically performing solo selections for the holiday services as well as being requested for funeral services. More recently I have been working on getting myself and my music out to other people. I am currently recording my demo and looking forward to being able to share that with everyone.
