Jessica Kenney is one unique teen who has a message. "I want to be an inspiration for others to be better as a person. We shouldn't be thinking negative of ourselves, and others shouldn't be saying negative things about us. We are one nation, one world, and we need to support one another, not tear each other down," says Jessica.
She is the HOTTEST new independent artist to arrive on the music scene. Miss Kenney released her first EP, "Liv'n It Up!", in July of 2009. And then released her second EP, "SHINE!" in June of 2010! Her wonderfully soulful voice mixed with a country/pop genre is like no other.
Jessica began her Liv'n It Up tour in Spring of 2009 and was very excited and proud to be the opening act for the Flag City Music Festival on September 4th, 2009. Jessica performed before headliners: Billy Ray Cyrus, John Michael Montgomery, Julianne Hough and The Parks. Not only has she performed in front of those amazingly talented performers, but also had the opportunity to open for Disney's NEXT BIGGEST THING, JONNIE & BROOKIE. She also has the privilidge in August of 2010 to open for Daryl Singletary. She is working with wonderfully talented industry professionals. Currently, Jessica is working with a wonderful Life Coach and Singer/Songwriter, Trina Harmon. Trina has written songs for Jessica Simpson, Amy Grant, Hillary Duff, SheDaisy, and Jesse McCartney. Trina has collaborated with Jessica to compose Jessica's first co-written song, "It Won't Be For You". Jessica is also collaborating with Andy Wills on her second co-written song titled, "It's You". Andy Wills is an accomplished song writer who has won many awards including The Andy Grig's Song Challenge. Vocally, Jessica is being coached by Dixie Karas and Scot Woolley. Dixie is a lead vocalist in many successful bands, as well as a background vocalist performing on several national jingles, and national recording sessions. Scot is an amazing composer, orchestrator, vocal director and lyricist. Jessica has also worked with world renowned choreographers Missy Lay Zimmer and Andrew Hubbard. Missy and Andrew have worked with Beyonce, Destiny's Child, Prince and Mariah Carey to name a few. Jessica is sponsored by Zappa Studios. Carrie-Ellen Zappa has over 15 years of professional experience in the entertainment business as an actor, director, and acting coach.
Jessica is creating a team for children to learn more about building self esteem and self belief. She knows it is important for her generation to understand their individual worth needs to be defined by them and not others.
