To all who were at Sal's Saturday, I just wanted to say how great it was seeing all of you. Some of the fondest memories of my life revolve around my short time in TEC sharing the camaraderie, drunkenness, parties and a tremendous amount of friendship with all of you. That seemed to be the one truth that abounded in conversations last night, the closeness and brotherhood we all felt and still feel to this day from those glorious years. What an honor I consider it to be as a part of that era and TEC/Delta Sig and in being in brotherhood with all of you. I never fail to smile when I reminisce about those days and all you guys. Each one of you lies deep in my heart as a special friend who will never be forgotten. Yours in brotherhood -Ray Quesnel_______________ BROTHERS, AND I USE THE TERM WITH MEANING. THIS WAS SUCH A GREAT TIME IN OUR LIVES. OUR BOTHERHOOD HAS GROWN AND BECOME STRONGER. THE MEANING OF FRATERNITY HAS BECOME STRONGER TO ME THEN ITS WAS YRS. AGO. TO SEE SO MANY WONDERFUL PEOPLE AND PICK UP EXACTLY WHERE WE LEFT OFF IS AMAZING. WHEN I FIRST GOT THERE, I WANTED TO SIT BACK AND JUST LOOK AND LISTENS TO EVERYONE. SO MANY SITUATIONS WENT THROUGH MY BIG HEAD......I WANTED TO CRY WITH JOY. THE WALL GOING INTO SAL'S HOME INDICATED THE HARSH REALITIES OF LIFE AND DEATH. OUR FALLEN BROTHERS HAVE BROUGHT US CLOSER TOGETHER. I KNOW THEY ARE LOOKING DOWN ON US AND SMILING. SOMETHINGS IN LIFE ARE PRICELESS AND THIS WAS THE ZENITH OF ALL OF THEM. IMAGINE BEING TOGETHER FOR 2 DAYS WITHOUT FIGHTING AND ARGUING....AWESOME...JUST TO LISTEN TO STORIES AND SPEND TIME WITH PEOPLE WHO WERE A GREAT PART OF OUR DEVELOPING LIVES CAN NEVER BE REPLACED. NOW YOU KNOW WHY I SENT SO MANY E-MAILS. EVEN IF YOU DO NOT READ THEM, YOU HAVE TO DELETED THEM. THIS MAKES YOU THINK, CURSE, LAUGH, AND REMEMBER WHEN WE WORE THE CLOTHES OF YOUNGER MEN............GOD BLESS YOU SAL.YOU ARE THE GODFATHER AND GENO IS THE CONSIGLIORE OF DELTA SIG.....WE KNOW WHY WE WERE DELTA SIGS NO. ONE COLONY BECAUSE WE WERE THE BEST. JUST LOOK AT US NOW. NO OTHER FRAT. FROM OUR ERA DOES WHAT WE DO. THERE HAS TO BE LOVE, RESPECT, AND MOST OF ALL FRIENDSHIP. WITHOUT ALL THE TIMES AT SAL'S I WOULD HAVE NEVER DEVELOPED A STRONG BOND WITH AL OVER THE BROOKLYN DODGERS AND GIL HODGES. WITHOUT DOUG I WOULD NOT HAVE DEVELOPED A STRONG FRIENDSHIP WITH PETE, OR GOT TO KNOW RAY BETTER OVER IM'S ON THE COMPUTER. ;I CHERISH THESE TIMES FOR EVER. I CHERISH THE TIMES BARRY PULLED ME OUT OF AN ACCIDENT AND SAL GOT ME OUTSTANDING GRADES IN GRAD. SCHOOL WITH HIS VIDEO'S. WATCHING BYRDE EAT FOR THE FIRST TIME IN WEEKS AT THE HARBOR IS. SPA. SO MUCH STUFF IS GOING THRU MY MIND. YOU GUYS WERE ALWAYS THERE AND YOU STILL ARE. I BRAG ABOUT MY FRIENDS AND THERE SUCCESS...........I NEEDED THIS WEEKEND, THE SOCCER SEASON IS TAKING A TOLL ON ME FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME........SAL AND BARBARA, ;GOD BLESS YOU............................;YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST...............FROGG
It was really great seeing everyone and reminiscing of the years gone by while catching up on the past 40 or so years. Back then we didn't realize it but we with the aid of Sal and Bill and all of us, had an unusual opportunity to record a great time in our lives. Today, we can laugh while seeing us as we were threw the films and the pictures they made. Life has been good to us in general and we have taken the brotherhood with us. We have been able to keep these memories alive through the occasional reunions while never forgetting those unable to join us. We are older and we miss those who have passed on, but we as a brotherhood keep them with us and appreciate their contribution to our memories. We can have at the same time brothers watching the Atlantic, the Pacific, the Gulf of Mexico and a lot of the USA. We have spread out but those years stay with us. We were wild, crazy and fun loving, but we were supportive and bonded. That was proven by how we gathered together the listen to the draft lotteries for military service. Together gained not only a brotherhood but the strength that we have never lost. The Cedar House and Bath Ave. are gone and maybe justly so, but those days live on in us. Sal, Barry and Gene thanks for a great weekend I and all of us appreciate it. -Bob Edwards__________ I was composing an email regarding this weekend's reunion when Ray's message came through. Thank you Ray, I could not have said this better and there's nothing to add except to thank Mr & Mrs Sal Giacchi for the wonderful hospitality and abundant, fantastic food. I haven't seen most of you for over 4 decades yet it felt like I never moved away. Thanks for finding me. This was an amazing experience. -Jimmy Lieber
