The reason he got plastic surgery is because his father constantly bullied him physically, emotionally, verbally and worst of all mentally! I read in an article that he told Michael that Janet was prettier than him, and I believe that's what triggered the obsession with plastic surgery.

@xRt66x Marilyn was an unstable person emotionally & psychologically, but nowhere near insane nor psychotic. She definitely came a long way from being an orphan to an American sex symbol & icon, but also behind all the fame & fortune I have to believe she fought great demons.
