Paraparaumu College English and Media Studies teacher Mr Cowens had his head shaved to raise money for the Leukaemia and Blood Foundation as part of Shave for a Cure 2009. A raffle was held with 2 students winning the right to cut and shave his head in front of a crowd of supporters on Wednesday the 11th of March, 2009.
