is that actually 'plaster of paris' she's using? i remembered making these prints in elementary school so i went and bought a bunch of plaster of paris, thinking thats what they used. but looking at the lable on the package im thinking its not what they used because there are all kinds of warning...

alrighty, so what if i did something REALLY silly like cutting quilt squares BEFORE a pre-wash? i knew better but i got ahead of myself and now the pieces ive cut are exact to what i need them for and im afraid if i put them through a wash and dry they'll shrink up or frey out too badly to work ...
