Turnkey Tyranny by JJ3 The Liberty Bard

FULL LYRICS BELOW: Here's the Liberty Bard Blog if you want to hear other tunes I have written. http://libertybard.blogspot... Beats by https://www.youtube.com/use...

These are all original copyrighted lyrics by JJ3 the Liberty Bard. I am looking to connect with liberty minded musicians who want to partner up with me and turn my lyrics into great Liberty music. I hope to make money on a finished song by submitting to my movie production contacts as well.

"...I can't in good conscience allow the US government to destroy privacy, internet freedom and basic liberties for people around the world with this massive surveillance machine they're secretly building." -- Edward Snowden

"The great fear that I have regarding the outcome for America of these disclosures is that nothing will change. [People] won't be willing to take the risks necessary to stand up and fight to change things... And in the months ahead, the years ahead, it's only going to get worse. [The NSA will] say that... because of the crisis, the dangers that we face in the world, some new and unpredicted threat, we need more authority, we need more power, and there will be nothing the people can do at that point to oppose it. And it will be turnkey tyranny." -- Edward Snowden

Three hundred million people
With three hundred million thoughts
On how to run a system that's already been bought,
By the bankers I mean gangsters
And one tenth of one percent,
Of the people on this planet,
Who use the government:
To tell us who to hate,
To tell us what to think,
To spy on every action,
To take us to the brink,
Of tyranny, oppression,
Authoritarian,
Ruling oligarchy,
Enriching all their friends
Should we try to stop them and fight for liberty?
Or should we just accept their turnkey tyranny?

Three hundred million people who look the other way,
A country apathetic, to what the critics say,
Whistleblowers whistle, politicians cry,
They can't expose our secrets, and no one wonders why,
The government can watch us but we cannot watch them,
They'll label you a traitor if you commit the sin,
Of showing what their up to, exposing what they do,
Pulling back the curtain, so we can all see who
Tells us who to hate,
Tells us what to think,
Spies on every action,
Takes us to the brink,
Of tyranny, oppression,
Authoritarian,
Ruling oligarchy,
Enriching all their friends
Should we try to stop them and fight for liberty?
Or should we just accept their turnkey tyranny?

Three hundred million people who all should be ashamed
For being apathetic, while the statist go insane,
And destroy the fourth amendment, Eviscerate the first,
It's just a piece of paper, our founding father's curse.
The thing you must remember, when they wrote the bill of rights,
The world was run by tyrants, that our founders chose to fight,
They tried to make a system, that was structured to prevent,
Tyranny emerging, within our government,
They warned us not to trade an ounce of liberty,
For the comfort of the promise of false security,
Collectivist would rule us, every day and every where
The question we must ask, is simply do we care?
I have to ask the question, and if you answer no,
You've learned to love your servitude, repeat the words below...
Tell us who to hate,
Tell us what to think,
Spy on every action,
Take us to the brink,
Of tyranny, oppression,
Authoritarian,
Ruling oligarchy,
Enriching all their friends
Why should we try to stop them and fight for liberty?
We should just accept their turnkey tyranny.

"The issue boils down to this: do we care about freedom? Do we care about responsibility and accountability? Do we care that our government and media have been bought and paid for? Do we care that average Americans are being looted in order to subsidize the fattest of cats on Wall Street and in government? Do we care? When the chips are down, will we stand up and fight, even if it means standing up against every stripe of fashionable opinion in politics and the media? Times like these have a way of telling us what kind of a people we are, and what kind of country we shall be." -- Ron Paul

"I'm neither traitor nor hero. I'm an American." -- Edward Snowden

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams

SONGS FOR THE REVOLUTION OF IDEAS WHOSE TIME HAS COME BY THE LIBERTY BARD Play

The forces of liberty amalgamate, let's keep calm and smash the state!

Armed with knowledge I enter the lair of a corrupt system feeling quite laissez faire,
A free market army is guarding my back, as the mainstream media begins their attack,
silver and gold are my weapons of choice, backed by the power of the truth in my voice,
My only chance for change is to awaken the masses,
It's time to take off all your rose colored glasses.

There's nothing at stake, except the future of man,
and all our bought leaders, they don't have a plan,
they just know there's profit in a war with Iran,
All men of good conscience must join me and stand.

Stand for your right for individual choice,
stand for your right to listen to any voice,
stand for your right to protect your family,
stand for your right to protest peacifully,
stand for your right for personal privacy,
stand for your rights, because the people are we.

Filled with fury, the further I go, deeper down the rabbit hole, I find our true foe,
It came from Jekyll island in the dark of the night
the very creature our forefather's did fight.
A central banking system owned by the elites
wholly owned governments chained at their feet.
Their shackles of debt enslave the populations,
as their financial con games bankrupt our nation.

When bankers are gangsters, and lobbyists rule,
and they buy politicians, who just become tools,
to the corporate interests and the bubbles they blow,
and the government wants you to be too dumb to know,
all the ways that they steal the bread off our table,
and when you point it out, it's a fantastic fable,
but knowledge is golden, ain't that right Pony Boy,
and I know too much to share in the medias joy,
when they all point out that our economies fine,
Please don't ask questions, just get back in line,
But anger is just when it is righteous, enough is enough, let's get off the back of the bus,
let liberty serve us, defend our constitution, there's no time like right now
to start a revolution.

"God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion.
The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is
wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts
they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions,
it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. ...
And what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not
warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of
resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as
to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost
in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from
time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
It is its natural manure." Thomas Jefferson
