That was pretty putrid, but as it has been said, everyone has their days. I remember a Pavoratti performance of Rigoletto from the 80s. He absolutely destroyed the high note at the end of "E Il Soll dell'Anima". He eventually just faded out and let the Soprano have the moment.

Edita rarely hits an out-of-tune note, but at 4:53, she came in so sharp, oh my goodness!!! Otherwise, Gruberova and Shicoff at their finest. I don't like how they cut out that small part in the middle. There's a better rendition on 'Opera's Most Famous Duets' by Encore. Buy it! It's worth the $5.
