Bach, Monteverdi, then everybody else.

Un capolavoro assoluto, di intelligenza, rigore e compassione (sentimenti veri). Quanto mi fa incazzare l'uso di questa meraviglia come sigla del programma "'Infedele", tutto stupidita', confusione e ipocrisia.

Beautiful piece and very wekk sung. I've liked this piece time I heard live it back in 1977. I've listended to it over the years and I think Berio really hit right on the mark, An accessible piece yet very "contemporary".

I think this is the most convincing interpretation of all those I've heard, especially the way they end the piece. I've always been annoyed the way others, that startted off so well, would rub me the wrong way when the got to the end would ruin it. These two fellows are good and very well directed.

The opening piece of this cantata is wonderful, how everything moves (the continuous triplet flow) and how the the simple melody is passed around to all instruments, a magnificently beautiful obsession. One of my favorites.

Great piece. Bach is beautiful even when it is played in a way that has nothing to do with Bach's style. These two pianists play this aria nicely but too slowly and with no sense of rythm or of how the tenor voice is to stand out. But that is OK. Bach is intrinsically wonderful.

yes but the recording of the cantatas took time and the quality of the boy singers changed. The boy in this recording it not that bad compared to some others but not as good the best. I'd say he performs acceptably and keeps the tension. The horn players are less forgivable and especially Harnonc...

The opening chorus in beautiful, especially the tenor line. Great BACH

great piece. I live the way Leonhardt gives it a bounce and livelyness that is truely good-moody
