I don't think the actors are awkard kissers - it's a director choice IMO. It's stupid to have all this passion but then kiss with sealed lips like the 2006 Jane Eyre - it's not realistic. They would kiss with passion but actors can't mack down heavy duty on A&E - but the characters WOULD have. ...
