About Me:
Welcome to Jed Skenandore's channel where you can listen to the development of my album, hire me for your function or as a Teacher and follow all the songs that I like to listen to. I mostly like songs that are positive and that have a groove.
I have been performing all over the West Coast for the last 20 years. I am almost completely done with my first solo album. The songs that you are listening to are the unfinished versions of a few that will be on this album, just so that you have a taste of what I can do. The album is much more polished. My songs and album will be available on iTunes in a few months.
I have performed at over 300 weddings and receptions. I have won numerous awards for Classical piano, Jazz and Blues piano and vocal improvisation at numerour universities and solo competitions My accolades include but are not limited to the following awards:
-Most Musical Musician for my entire High School 3 years in a row.
-Winner of a Scholarship to Cornish College of the Arts for Classical Piano. in 1991.
-Best Jazz performance (5 times) by a pianist and 6 for best improvisation at numerous colleges
-Numerous awards for Classical piano
-Best vocal improvisation (5 times at numerous music colleges)
-I was a featured artist on a BBC broadcast
-and many, many more...
I attended Cornish College of the Arts and was tutored by Randall Jackson, the only living student of Ms. Green, who was the only student of the renown Anton Rubinstein. I was also privately instructed by the most award-winning teacher on the West Coast Victoria Bogdavshevskya, the former principal pianist of the Seattle Symphony, the most recorded Symphony ever in America. Also joining the ranks of my private instruction is Barney McClure, jazz piano legend and former Mayor of San Francisco.
I bring a lot to the table at every gig I perform. I play all styles of music.
I teach piano at Studio East in Kirkland Washington.
I am available for weddings, gigs, functions and for lessons.
