March 2010: THE NEXT CHOICE
The Next Choice is the second cut from THE SECOND HALF OF THE JOURNEY, and was written for a wonderful lady who was MY next choice, and who would end up being my wife for more than a decade as well as the mother of my child.

March 2010: THE FIELDS OF BANNOCKBURN
Finally moved away from the Marian theme and am releasing this track, The Fields of Bannockburn as a music video. This song is the first track from my release, THE SECOND HALF OF THE JOURNEY.
James Horner wrote an amazing score for "Braveheart". He does not need my help, and I offer an apology for this invasion of his musical space. But I was so moved by the film that I really had no choice. With a nod to Mr. Horner, this is really more of a tribute to those who fought and whose blood was spilled on the fields of Bannockburn.
This MP3, "The Fields of Bannockburn", comes from the CD "The Second Half of the Journey" and is available now as digital download on iTunes and other spaces as well as on a CD from the author, Amazon.com, CD Baby and other online retailers.

Dec. 2009: I set up the channel originally to post the Autumn Ends video. It took more than a year to post the second, a bunch of months more for the third. With "Away In A Manger" I moved away from the autumn before the birth of Jesus and have a song celebrating the infant Jesus. Still locked on Mary, though. I think I sense a theme.

About Autumn Ends
Autumn Ends was written in the late fall and is Marian in scope: the four songs on the EP are intended as a meditation on the Holy Mother, offering an instrumentally drawn glimpse of a young woman as she leaves one life behind to say "yes" to God.
This EP started from an image of a pregnant Mary standing in a doorway, pausing for a moment as she looks back into the room she had just left, yet ready to step through the threshold into the next.
The EP contains four tracks and is available at a number of online sources, including iTunes, CD Baby and others. Links available from my site and the Autumn Ends blog, which has a description of each track as well (http://jdwarrick2.blogspot.co m)
AUTUMN ENDS (EP)
1) Caire, Kecaritomene (1:46)
2) Autumn Ends (1:34)
3) The Road To Jerusalem (3:21)
4) December (Anthem) (1:34)
