Why do people think weezer "stole" from pavement? weezer formed when Pavement was more reminiscent of "the Fall" and weren't very "poppy" per-Se. Also i absolutely love both weezer and Pavement and the similarities between the two are pretty superficial.

I remember seeing them for the first time on long island in 02. Hundreds of shows later, it still reigns supreme as the single most fucking insane live show I've ever seen. I'm not even that into hard core/metal anymore but I still love Converege.
