@Delilaza18 Right on! I don't think anyone whose actually completed a marathon would laugh at this guy. I've done three full marathons and I teared up watching this guy. Seeing that kind of heart to finish what you started is inspiring.

@TecnamTwin Check the aircraft's registration on the FAA's website. It has an experimental airworthiness certificate. An no one says the "Experimental" placard must be on the outside...only visible from the entry point into the aircraft. It could very well be placarded somewhere on the inside....

Whether or not you agree with Franken, you have to give him credit for eloquently defending his position in a respectful tone. If people on both sides could do that we may actually accomplish something.

@BurnTheBlue Why an RG? Just because they look cooler? With today's modern pressure recovery fairings there's almost zero benefit in RGs in pistons. They add weight, complexity, cost (not that cost matters that much to someone buying a Corvalis) and very little if any performance increase.

@Amar7605 If VMC, everyone does the VFR approach. If IMC, you can do an IFR approach.

@MrGocops They *did* use tie-downs. Most of them failed. The soil at LAL is mostly sand and the tiedowns pulled out. All aircraft at Sun-n-fun must be tied down.

Probably obvious to most foks, but the last pass is a P-51 mustang and an F-22 raptor -- not the Blue Angels.

@Manongjojo Oh my goodness. Please don't talk about things you don't know but presume to be true. Two airplanes on the same runway at the same time is perfectly fine if you are flying in formation. In formation you are treated as a single flight. Yes, I fly formation all the time and line up ...

@2xtream Why should an aircraft owner go through security? I own an airplane. Why should I not be able to carry a knife or a 12oz bottle of shampoo on a trip? What purpose would it serve if someone forbade me from doing so?
