The Grand Tour

A film project that recreates a historical journey and profiles the timeless search for self.

I will retrace the two-year long voyage through the Americas of the 1850s of my Swiss Great-Great-Grandfather, Henri de Buren, naturalist, artist and explorer. I intend to discover if the trip is as personally transformative for me as it was for him.
