This is a channel exclusively for Japanese commercials. They're mostly for confectionaries, because those are the easiest to obtain, and I already had quite a few of them.
I know that not all the information is complete on some of my videos. If you have information about a video (air date, stars, etc.) feel free to comment and tell me, so it can be changed.
~FAQ~
Q: Who is the actor in this viedo?
A: For the most part, if I know who it is, it's posted in the video. If I don't, it's not. Don't get discouraged if I don't reply, it's probably just that I don't know.
If you know the actor for a video, though, that I don't have posted, comments are much appreciated!
Q: What is the song/singer in this video?
A: Same thing. If I know it, it's posted. If I don't, it's not.
Q: Why was my comment deleted?
A: For the most part, I don't tend to delete comments. I don't think that's right. The only time I'll delete comments is when they're, A: racist, B: inappropriate, or C: spam. If yours was deleted, you've most likely violated one of these restrictions.
Q: Why is it called Men's Pocky?
A: In Japan, very sweet things are generally considered feminine and/or childish. If they make something not as sweet, they tend to give it a masculine or adult label. Men's Pocky has a more bitter chocolate on it, so it has a more sophistocated taste, and so, they labeled it Men's Pocky. Additionally, when you're a guy in Japan, you don't really want to be eating girly treats. So in order to market the product toward men, it became Men's Pocky.
Q: Where can I get Pocky/Pretz/any other product I see in these commercials?
A: Pocky seems to be widely available, nowadays, and most likely, you can find them in your local grocery store. As far as these foods go, on the whole, though, it's probably regional variaton. If you're in a more internationally-minded place like California or New York, you're more likely to find these foods. If you're in a more rural area, less likely. If you live in a place where you can't find these products in stores, a very good website you can find a lot of them is J-Box (jbox dot com). They carry a lot of the snacks you've seen in these commercials, plus many that you haven't seen. But, of course, the best way to get ahold of these things is to go to Japan! ^^ *shameless promotion of international relations*
