I'm crazy about yarn. I've been knitting and crocheting for about 20 years, always frustrated that I could only afford Red Heart acrylic yarn for my projects. To make something truly beautiful, I felt that I needed truly beautiful yarn. When I started recycling yarn for my projects, it wasn't like some brilliant inspiration or flash. I just started taking apart sweaters to see how they fit together. I thought if I could understand the design, I might do a better job in my own designs. A few days later, I came across a merino wool sweater in the most beautiful shade of red I had every seen. I decided to try to take it apart for the yarn and...it worked!
