I decided to pick up the guitar about 4 years ago after watching The Dave Matthews Central Park video. I learned just one song and proceeded to play that over and over until my parents sat me down and told me that I needed to expand my set list! I spent some time learning some new songs and was so excited to get some positive feedback. That's when I set out to learn every DMB song I could - that gave me the opportunity to play out at local venues. Guess what?
I LIKED IT!
I eventually began writing my own songs after banging my head against the wall for months - So hard to forget your influences and let your own music come out! Well, with a tremendous amount of support from my family I am working on a new CD that will be made up of all originals and playing at local venues. Getting paid to play....what could be better than that?
I have learned so much in the last few years....most importantly that I still have so much more to learn and experience!! So I'm just going to keep playing my guitar...
