One idea...the passage from 2:46 to 3:25, you could play that 2, 2, 3, 2, 3, 3, 2, 3. Instead of 2, 2, 3, 2, 3, 3, 2, 4. Keeping it with the inside mallets could improve dynamic consistency in these senarios. (not that it sounded inconsistent though)
