everyone's talking about canned laughter...I was under the impression (from documentaries etc) that most of the scenes in the original were filmed in front of a live audience (of course due to retakes etc, recorded laughter was most likely added in afterwards)

@frothbite I'm pretty certain the original series were filmed in front of live audiences.

@kreeddem Cool thanks. So within the chip there was a bank of drum samples, in addition to the FM capabilities. Could these be then processed through effects like reverb etc, or only as they were? I wonder what GEMS and SMPS were like to use, I can't find much info about them.
