I have been playing guitar and bass (on & off) since the early 70's. I picked up the guitar at age 13 and was introduced to jazz-fusion at the age of 15, which was about the time that I began to dabble in bass. The usual fusion influences, Clarke, Pastorius, Patitucci, Egan, and many more, but I was also very much into Clapton, The Allman Brothers, and many other non-jazz groups. I continued to play the guitar, though I was recognized as a bassist. Never had time to devote to serious study of either of my chosen instruments, that is, until recently when in my "middle age" I find that I have a little more time on my hands. I've found many accomplished guitarists on You Tube, and have been inspired to pursue my studies. It's strange getting back to wood-shedding after so many years, but I am enjoying it thoroughly!"Friend" me on Facebook:
