"Speck in the Universe" is the music of 16 year old singer songwriter, Alexa Borden.

Born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, she has always had a love for creating and performing. Falling in love with dancing at age 5, Alexa found a gateway to her passion of the arts. She developed a strong love for the fantastic literary worlds of CS Lewis, EB White, and Lewis Carroll while becoming a passionate author in her own right. Alexa immersed herself in constant music, David Bowie, Elton John, Elvis Costello, and The Beatles were a large part of her everyday life growing up. She began to see the potential as a singer at an early age, but it was not until years later when Borden felt her first piano key at 13. She began to play all hours of the day, teaching herself everything she knows now. Soon she found herself writing songs, and airing her deepest thoughts in the evenings.

Alexa found solace in the melodic melancholia of new global British bands Aqualung, Radiohead, Coldplay and Keane, etc... Inspired, Alexa developed the sound of her debut- hypnotic piano arrangements under poignant melodies fused into irresistible, atmospheric songs with the power to reach around the world. Often praised as "Haunting", "Romantic" and "Dreamy", Alexa proves to be wise beyond her years. With her clever wordplay, and luring, breathy vocals. You'll surely find yourself lost within a fairytale in "Speck in the Universe"
