JASON SHERRI comes from a small island in the middle of the Mediterrannean Sea renowned for its history, culture, sun and it's friendly nation. Like Malta, Jason's music is very warm, full of rhythm and soul. He rhymes about his own life-experiences through catchy tunes in the right mood that can easily relate to the person next door. Like his lyrics, he doesn't beat about the bush and shows exactly what he is made of.
His passion for singing and English Literature started at a very early age but it all came together at the age of 13 when he started playing the piano and later on he also taught himself guitar. Aged 16 he wrote his first song in english called 'Having You' which became the title of his sister's Debut album after she represented Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest 1997 with the song 'Let Me Fly'. Another 2 songs written by Jason can also be found in this album, one of which a duet called 'Take Me' and the other a song in maltese called 'Wahdi' ('On My Own').
In 1997, he decided to concentrate more on the performance aspect and take up a 3 year Diploma Course in Performing Arts at the Millennium Dance 2000 Theatre College in London where he also discovered his dance and acting skills. This opened several other doors in the Dance and Musical Theatre business from which he has been benefiting ever since. Some examples include 'My Fair Lady', 'West Side Story', 'Miami Nights', 'Cats', 'We will Rock You', 'Mamma Mia!' & Evita Musicals in Germany.
During this time, the writing bug stayed and in 2005, he was awarded 'Honorable Mention Winner' for the song 'How Could I Let You Go' (listen in Music Player!) in the Pop/Uptempo Category of the Unisong 10th Annual International Songwriting Competition.
'I Believed in You' (listen in Music Player!) was chosen to take part in the 'Malta International Tv Song Contest, 2006' & was performed in Maltese by his sister, Singer/Tvpresenter Debbie Scerri! To listen to this song in Maltese called 'Bla Ma Nwettaq Xejn' (lyrics also by Jason) go to http://www.myspace.com/debb...
In 2007, he released his Debut Album in Malta called 'So Complete' which is also available on iTunes. 'So Complete' shows his versatility not only musically but also vocally.

Presently, he is working on turning most of his released songs in german with german songwriter Stefan Alexander Engel whom he met in Cyprus.
Jason is a promising artist - constantly working on new material and new ways of bringing out the best in him. His live performances, also through his vast Cover Repertoire have touched audiences of every age and genre not only in Malta but also in London and in Germany where he is now based.
Music is definitely the love of his life, with which he wants to express himself and send out a positive message through his songwriting and live performances wherever they may be.
