My whole life I have been overweight. I always thought that my genetics were responsible. I never believe my whole life -- or never wanted to believe - that I had any control over it. For most of my life I just accepted it as what it is. Looking back now I couldn't believe I had this mind-set. I use to "believe" that I could attract what I wanted into my life, but I never related it to my weight. I never decided all the sudden that I wanted to lose some weight. Instead I reached a point where I NEEDED to make a change. I could not live with myself the way I am. This is my biggest accomplishment and has impacted my entire life positively.When I first started losing weight, I didn't have a clue where to start. I had never been in a gym before and was completely out of my element. I was dedicated in my goals and didn't want to waste my time with a trial and error approach. I took this as a challenge (I LOVE challenges!). I started researching fitness in my spare time. I read books, blogs, articles, watched countless videos, and spoken to many people trying to increase my knowledge. I continue to learn about this subject for the simple fact that I am passionate about it. I love learning more, implementing new and exciting workout plans, and how the body works.
Now all I want to do is to give others the motivation and information so they can feel the same way I did. Even if I was able to impact one person and give them the same feeling that I had, it would be more than worth it. I truly believe that everyone can accomplish any goal they may have as long as they push themselves to their limit. Anything worth doing is worth doing right and nothing comes without hard work and dedication.
But you have to start somewhere. You have to learn how to exercise safely and effectively for you. I want to make fitness fun and enjoyable for you so that you continue to do it. As you continue to learn and grow, the intensity will increase with time. That allows fitness to be fun, but also allows you to feel a sense of accomplishment when you finish your first 10 mile run or just squated more weight than last week. How you feel after is amazing. I encourage you all to make fitness a part of your life!
