About this user
I started playing piano a little less than two years ago. I didn't know a thing about piano, or classical music. So I taught myself video game themes, movie themes, etc. by ear. My parents decided to put me in lessons at a local music shop. I spent two months learning the basics of piano and learned quickly. After a month I taught myself "Rondo alla turca" by Mozart and performed the piece soon after. Many considered me a prodigy and my teacher suggested I find another teacher. After a few months of searching, Bob Baker(bakerspianocenter.com) suggested pianist, composer, teacher and producer Nick Busheff(nickbusheff.com). I soon learned to love classical music and piano and from there my music took off.
I have played and performed pieces such as Chopin's "Fantasie" Impromptu op.66, Beethoven's "Pathetique" sonata, and Rachmaninoff preludes. I received an honorable mention in the 3rd annual Kawai piano competition in my first year of competition. I have recorded two CDs and am currently recording another. Current projects include Rachmaninoff's piano concerto no.2 in C minor op.18, and Chopin's etude op.25 no.1 in A flat major. I plan on doing as many performances this year as possible. I have three years left of high school, in which I plan to prepare myself for college. I have aspirations of having a career, and living a life of music.
