"JAMIE FLEGG IS THE REAL DEAL". - Linda Dawe (Music Solutions)

Jamie Flegg, a gifted singer/songwriter, is known for combining witty lyrics with an infectious flow and catchy melodies that will have you singing along in no time. Jamie's "rap-like" style is unique and refreshing in the genre of 'singer/songwriters' and has really starting turning heads. His first single released to radio achieved top 10 status in western Canada and reached an audience of 1.4 million listeners, while his engaging live performances are providing him with ever-growing return audiences. In May 2011 Jamie was awarded "Performing Artist of the Year" from his hometown Oakville, Ontario.

While attending university for Life Sciences Jamie spent countless hours playing guitar and writing lyrics. Those four years spent writing, practicing, and performing deepened Jamie's love for music and honed his skills, leading him to pursue a career as a musician.

In early 2009 Jamie released his first independently produced six-song acoustic EP and has sold approximately 1000 -both hardcopy (off stage) and digitally.

Recently (June 2011) Jamie released his first professional studio album "Life Science" with famed producer Bill Bell (Justin Nozuka, Jason Mraz, Tom Cochrane etc). The 8-Track record is being very highly received by fans and critics alike!

Jamie will be heading out west to Calgary for the summer of 2011 where he will be playing weekly live performances to promote the new album and build his western Canadian fan-base!

Jamie has also shared the stage with Juno award winners Bedouin Soundclash and played venues such as Yonge-Dundas Square (Race For Dignity charity event), the Horseshoe Tavern, the Opera House, Silver Dollar Room (IndieWeek 2010), the Madison House, The Rearview Mirror, Wrongbar, Supermarket and The Hard Rock Cafe in Toronto as well as the Oakville Waterfront Festival and the Burlington Sound of Music festival.
