Whoa! I'd forgotten about this "song". When I saw those guys in 1981 they sounded like they just got off the mothership. The Zappa influence is definitely there. I was lucky to have friends to turn me on to great music I most likely never would have discovered myself.

BS&T and Herb Alpert both covered this tune. Harry was nothing if not eclectic. He wrote rock classics and TV theme songs, but also recorded many other people's music. His metamorphasis from sensitive singer-songwriter to late night raver was also fascinating.

Tull totally earned that Grammy if not for any particular album, but for their eclectic mix of hard rock, baroque, folk and acid jazz. Nobody does it better.

Theme songs... a lost art. In the late 80s TV shows started doing away with them and it was welcome to low attention span theatre. Grusin is great. Don't know how he comes up with all these unforgettable melodies. Compared to pop music now man, waaay too sophisticated and subtle.
