The term "fundamentalist" has fallen on hard times. Given popular use of the term these days, let's clarify right away what I do not mean by it. When I say I am a Fundamentalists, I do not mean I favor polygamy, bombing of abortion clinics, burqas on women, snake handling, wife beating, honor killings, or "forcing my beliefs on everyone else." In fact, force and violence have no role at all in anything I'm interested in accomplishing!
About Me:

A Fundamentalist is someone who believes in the foundational principles of the Christian faith and also believes in separation from apostasy. Opinions vary as to the degree of separation, the process and the methods. But fundamentalists are committed to the principle.
The foundational principles of the Christian faith are these plus others:
the inspiration of the Bible (both the Old and the New Testaments);
the creation of man by the direct act of God;
the incarnation and virgin birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ;
His identification as the Son of God;
His vicarious atonement for the sins of mankind by the shedding of His blood on the cross;
the resurrection of His body from the tomb;
His power to save men from sin;
the new birth through the regeneration by the Holy Spirit;
and the gift of eternal life by the grace of God.
Apostates that should be separated from are Christians who deny any of these principles (2 Thess. 3:6)

The Bible lists six identifying marks of false prophets, ANY ONE OF WHICH IS SUFFICIENT FOR IDENTIFICATION
(meaning if you are in violation of just one of these identifying marks then Scripturally you are a false prophet)
(1) through signs and wonders they lead astray after false gods (Dt. 13:1-4)
(2) prophecies don't come to pass (Dt. 18:20-22)
(3) they contradict God's Word (Isa. 8:20)
(4) they bear bad fruit (Mt. 7:18-20)
(5) men speak well of them (Lk. 6:26)
(6) they deny that Jesus, the one and only Christ, has come once and for all in the flesh (1 Jn. 4:3), thereby denying His sufficiency in all matters of life and godliness (2 Pe. 1:3).

(Romans 16:17-18) Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and AVOID THEM. For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple.
