@Pianoguy32 The gas is trapped at varying depths. Gas layers, very porous layers and even ground water layers can be at the same depth. These layers are not like a stack of pancakes. Its more like a stack of pancakes pushed in from the sides, all wavy. There is no plastic insulation between them....

It is probably a military transport, one that has propellers, a C-130 Hercules, or even an Airbus A400M. Wish I could tell just by the sound. Pretty cool to have military planes flying where they normally don't, makes you wonder why.
