Endowed with a sonorus voice and a strong passion for music, cultured by years of classical training and public performances from a very young age, Jayanthi Nadig's singing is soulful, sublime and versatile. She sings semi-classical, film, folk, bhavgeet and the ghazal, with equal ease and elan. Music has no language, it's said, and Jayanthi sings Hindi, Urdu, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and even Bengali songs with a clear diction.

Listening to her sing Lataji's 'Chanda O Chanda' or 'Dil Hoom Hoom Kare', Geeta Dutt's 'Waqt Ne Kiya', Ashaji's 'Ab Ke Baras' or 'Chain Se Hum Ko', Sunnidhi Chauhan's 'Kaise Paheli', Mohammed Rafi's 'Tere Ankhnon Ke Siva', Hemanta Da's 'Chupalo', Saigal Sahab's 'Gham Diye', Nayyara Noor's 'Kahan Ho Tum', Madam Noor Jahan's 'Mujse Peheli si', Farida Khannum's 'Aaj Jaane Ki Zid' or Mehendi Hasan's 'Pyaar Bhare', makes for a truly enriching experience that delights, as it touches the soul and moves your spirit.

Clearly, it's the love of music that spurs Jayanthi Nadig to explore the idioms, genres and musical genius of legends of the Indian sub-continent. Jayanthi has performed extensively on ITV, New York and at various cultural venues all over the US, solo as well as with several leading playback singers and visiting artists from India.

Working as a full-time IT professional, Jayanthi makes time to promote, perform and present the cause of music. Jayanthi served as the Chair of Music for the AKKA World Convention, held in New Jersey during Sept 2010. She donates most of the proceeds of her musical performances to charity. She is currently working on a ghazal album.
