Wouldnt you like to know? In all seriousness there isn't a profile box on any website, anywhere, big enough to contain an accurate description of who I am. I would describe myself as someone lost in my own world of organized chaos :)
But as for the basics, I just turned 30 (gasp!) recently (early 2010), but I am told I look like I am in my late teens/early 20s, and still feel like I am in my teens most days when it comes to my overall maturity, zest for life, choice of activity, etc. Going to play at the park is a perfectly acceptable pastime for a 30 yr old in my opinion, but just to be safe I had a couple of kids to act as my cover LOL.
I am married to the love of my life, the most amazing hubby in the world! I also have two great kids, whom depending on the day may evoke a different description. Since they are sleeping at the moment, they are great! :) I am blessed to be able to be a stay at home mom which allows me to indulge in my never-ending whims and interests, as well as my natural body schedule which inevitably keeps me up late through the early morning hours, if I sleep at all. It is not uncommon for me to go a day or two without the need for sleep at all every few weeks.
Why you may ask? What am I on? NADA. I have rapid cycling Bipolar Disorder II, which I was diagnosed with 2000, though in hindsight I was able to admit I had been symptomatic my entire life, as far back as I can remember. I also learned I have a long family history of the disorder in various forms and levels of severity. I have come to terms with it, learned to manage it to my benefit, and see it as an Ability rather than a disability because all the parts that I love about myself are likely directly related to my BPD. I am not a youtube poster, maybe some day, but not now. I am a lurker though, and have lots of free time on my hands at night, so if you post, I may have watched it! I may be watching it right now....dun dun dun! That or pursuing one of my many hobbies, probably while listening to Disney music, which also drives my hubby nuts.
I cant help it though, I love pretty much anything Disney. It all just makes me feel so happy. I can still very easily fall into the Disney world of magic and experience the joy as would a child, and I pray that I never lose that ability! I also love to read, do anything crafty, solve puzzles (not the ones with pieces in a box to form a picture), anything mentally stimulating, listen to all types of music, I LOVE holidays and go all out for all of them decorating, but Halloween and Christmas are my absolute favs. I love to dress up and decorate and halloween allows me to get really creative. I love the magic and feeling at Christmas, you can literally feel it in the air, I can't get enough of it. I generally start decorating in mid-Nov, and put up the tree on Thanksgiving as a tradition, and will take everything down mid-January when my hubby bugs me enough, though I generally do so with a heavy heart. More importantly though I am a Christian, and love to get together with other believers and celebrate the birth of my lord and savior Jesus Christ!
I love to get involved in community events, am a children's ministries leader at church, love parades, volunteering, etc. Some of my specific volunteering passions include cleaning up parks and recreation areas, volunteering where needed at local homeless shelters, and my number one, I have been a 10+ year animal rescue volunteer. I generally always have 2 or more foster animals at any given time, as well as devote a few hours a week to going to local shelters to help socialize the animals, clean cages/pens, or help however I am most needed.
I am very vocal and opinionated which can be a good and a bad thing. I have always felt I was destined to do something extraordinary but I just havent figured out what that is yet :) Where I may lack in focus, I make up for in inspiration, creativity, and enthusiasm. I am a people person most days, I will talk to anyone, anywehre, however I have trouble maintaining relationships once I make a connection. I am working on it though.
Well thats it for now, but that is as they say, just the tip of the iceburg and is just what happened to pop in my head at this moment as I was typing. If you want to know more, you know where to reach me... :)
