2011 has seen a whirlwind year for local Newcastle Artist, Jade Gannon.

Welcomed to the Acoustic Indie/Pop Scene is Newcastle's Jade Gannon.

This Singer/Songwriter has been entertaining Newcastle and Sydney audiences playing at prestigious venues such as Lizotte's, The Art Lounge and Manly's Sugar Lounge, showing off her powerful voice and fun nature, quickly establishing herself as a true artist in the industry

Jade's career as an originals artist started in 2010 "Since i was able to talk I've been singing but i have always been battling with myself over making the leap into becoming a true artist. Because i was so afraid that i wouldn't succeed i was wasn't giving myself the chance to try"

Jade made her debut in February 2011, however her journey began 10 months before in the recording studio. A chance encounter gave Jade the confidence in her ability to move from singer to songwriter. "All of a sudden i had the urge to just write! I had to write down everything i was feeling, everything! In two weeks i had written three songs Shut the Door, Tell Me and Be a Man. I was so confident that they would be accepted that i contacted Singer/Songwriter/Producer Tim McArtney and started the process to record"

Jade's songwriting has been described by many as honest; she herself admits, "When i write a song, i like it to leave a mark. I feel like i have the power to say whatever i want in a song, so it's truthful, it's powerful and it's something everyone can relate to"

With a mix of both powerful ballads and fun up-beat tracks Jade is sure to leave you wanting more and more. With plans of hitting the recording Studios later this year, Jade Gannon is sure to deliver.
