I wrote this poem as an attempt at a non-cheesy retelling of Luke's gospel account of Jesus' life. In my performances, I often end with this poem, because it's simply about the good news of Christ's desire for a personal love relationship with us - individually and corporately (and sometimes you really need some good news at the end of my sets - Haha!). I like it because (at least I hope) it conveys Jesus as more than a good idea - as the God-man come to live, love, serve, suffer, die and rise out of sheer grace and desire to save people from death and into relationship with himself. That grace compels me to worship.

... say to those with fearful hearts, Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you
Have a blessed day!
