From the "Gay Pride (You Don't Know What You're Missing)" compilation on Rugger Bugger Records. The comp came out in 1995. Other bands on it are: S...
The band's official video of this is great, but since it mixes clips from the movie with clips with vaguely look-alike actors from hard-core pornography it probably would blow a whole bunch of gaskets. Which is kind of the point.

Pansy Division - I Really Wanted You / Deep Water
Pansy Division at The Garage, London 23/06/96
Hey, you really should let the band know these are up. They'd probably link to them from their site.

Music video by Sheena Easton performing Strut.
Yeah, she's sexy, but all the comments exclusively about that are completely missing the point of the song.

Chaka Khan's single released in 1984 by Warner Bros. Records.
That harmonica is pure Stevie Wonder.

I've always hated that they cut my favorite verse - the one that ends with Byrne proclaiming "remove the water from the bottom of the ocean!" in a multi-looped echo while a garbled voice emerges from the mix chanting "Mayday! Mayday!" - when they made this video.

DON'T CRUSH THAT DWARF, HAND ME THE PLIERS - PART 1.flv
This is a line of Indians leaving Rancho Malaria, to make room for YOU. And here is the beautiful Trail of Tears Golf Course, conveniently located ...
It's been nearly 40 years, and I'm still hearing new stuff in the background (mostly Rev. Rod Flash's preaching "It's good to eat a friend, dear friends" as George Tirebiter mutters about and rejects Laughing Cow Cheese in the foreground). "Bozos" is theater - the one's poetry.
-
Bozos On This Bus Side 2.wmv
Full length Side Two of Firesign Theatre album. Hope they don't mind! If not I hope they'll remember that "Fightin's out of style!"
@flatonia Nope, he sounds like Ronald Reagan - prescient, but they had lived in California when Reagan was governor.
-
firesign theatre bird of prey motors
where the president stands under every car!
@ECJim3 Yep, It's "Martian Space Party," and it's a mess. (Apparently the people who shot it decided that they could edit better than the 4 or 5 could write and perform.) Still, when it works it's as sublime as anything they ever did.

@mrprogjazzgto They're still playing, and if anything the last couple of iterations of the band have been even better.

@jackal59 Well, he does quote the high-string shriek from the Psycho soundtrack. Wouldn't want to accuse De Palma of being too original. ;)

When Duckman's writers had him spew hilariously offensive rants, it was funny because of the skill of everyone involved (including Jason Alexander and the animation team). When people try to pull off the same thing in YouTube comments, they come across as ignorant, snotty, and unfunny teenagers.

If.... I'm Like a Tiger (1968)
Probably my favourite scene from "If...." (1968) directed by Lindsay Anderson and starring Malcolm McDowell. It's just so random and strange. XD
...
As someone commented on an earlier posting of this - "After watching this, I've decided that I like tigers, too."

PDQ Bach live
PDQ Bach (Peter Schickele) live from his "Jekyll & Hyde Tour" earlier this year...the first new release in 12 years.
They hissed the awful puns when I saw him in '78 as well. After the second one, he stopped cold, stared sternly out at the audience for couple of seconds, and then said, "Look, I can take a *lot* more of this than you can."

"Bogus Psychiatrists" de Monty Python's Flying Circus (Temporada 4, episodio 4: Hamlet). En ingles con subtitulos en español.
Whichever of them decided that the should all exit (and sometimes re-enter) doing exaggerated Groucho Marx crouch-walks just added the cherry on top of the sketch.

Damn it, I simply cannot afford to travel to Oakland in the spring. Too bad Francis Ford Coppola has such a hard on for protecting his specious "rights" based on his father's crappy, repetitive score.

Hüsker Dü: Where Were They Then? (1999)

Talking Heads Take Me To The River (HQ)
From their 1978 album More Songs About Buildings and Food.
I nearly said that Tina Weymouth is channeling James Jamerson, but that's not quite right. Instead, I think she listened and understood what makes Jamerson so great, then did it in her own way.

The Cramps - Hot Pearl Snatch
More from The Cramps performing live on The Tube.
I know that everyone's long past the silly guitar solo argument from seven months ago, but it did make my think that one of my favorite guitar solos is Lou Reed's on the studio version of "Somebody Like You" on _Songs for Drella_, which consists of a single note and the harmonic played at the sam...

We Met At Starbucks
from the movie 'Best In Show'
@GravityJim I don't think comedy is simpler; I think the *emotions* are simpler in a comedy like this. All of the characters in Guest's films are broad in some way. That's part of why we can understand them so quickly and readily. There are comedies in which the emotional connections are more com...

We Met At Starbucks
from the movie 'Best In Show'
@rdecredico John Cassavetes used to say about his movies that the dialogue was scripted but the emotions were improvised. That's great when it works and unwatchable when it doesn't. Guest seems to have reserved that formula pretty successfully, though admittedly the emotions are a lot simpler in ...

I'm not fond of this piece either, and it's not helped that by Stella looking like she's dressed up to go cosplaying at a Dr. Who convention after the show. It almost seems like parody.
