Great version - was looking for Michelle herself, but loving what you've done here. Some difficult rhythms and was trying to get a couple of the lines down for a local Folk Night. Really helped - thanks.

@SirBanuTheFourth My daughter thought they *were* singing Gordon Brown until I told her I'd heard them sing that in concert years before I met her Dad! She was incredibly puzzled - didn't know he'd been around for so long! LOL

Takes me right back - listening through the wall to my older brother's records. Thanks for bringing back such a strong and happy memory. He always though my best friend and I played his stuff when he was out as we knew all the lyrics - still know them and never nicked your records, Dave!

One of my all time favourites - the modern remake isn't a patch on this and Korda even manages to improve on parts of the book too.

@davythehibee Good comment: New Wave was heavily influenced by Punk. I wasn't a hard Punk fan myself, but much of the music that I loved in the 70s wouldn't have been possible without it.

This defintely isn't one of the better BTR's tracks, but shows the influence better than most.
