One of the best parts of this movie is when it starts to rain and they both start laughing. It totally breaks the tension between them and they are able to be honest with each other. Great scene, it makes me smile. :)

@mbblover You are so right. It was so hard to see Chris lose to players she would normally beat without any problems. But, I guess everyone's career has to end and she always handled herself with grace, even with these bad loses.

This is what was so cool about Abby, she had moments where she got burned. She wasn't always winning, which made her more than a one demensional character. Nice work to the writers and Donna Mills! And thanks for posting!

@sandrovic1970 - Agreed, I think the fact that wood rackets were no longer being used hurt Chris. Players had to be very accurate using those rackets and Chris would have stayed on top much longer.

This was an amazing match, I wanted Chris to win so bad! She really deserved to be #1 one last time at the end of the season, but just came up short on the grass courts at Wimbledon and the Australian Open. Her grass court play was awesome though!

Chris certainly was not at her very best here. This was her last year playing and she was 34 years old. Unfortunately, she had many bad days just like this one in 1989. You can totally tell that she was so over Monica's lobs and just wanted the points to end.
