My name is Jennifer Terwel and I was born in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, nearly
19 years ago. I live in a small town in Noord-Holland named, Heerhugowaard. My greatest passion is singing. I seriously started for over 14 years (when I was four
years old) in church choirs, bands and sometimes solo. Because I would like to be a professional singer I started to get singing lessons since six years. At the moment
I'm busy to finish the Amsterdam College for being an artist. It is a nice study; beside learning English, spirit of enterprise and to compose, you have to train yourself to be
part of a musicband and I also have had a year piano lessons.
To get more experience in singing for an audience, I performed several times for
a lot of people. For example, I joined three times the Grote Prijs van Heerhugowaard;
that is a concourse for talented pupils where you have to sing for a maximum of
2.300 people. To times I won a gold medal and one time silver.
I also joined the TMF-Webcam Award. From 700 musicians I ranked seventh. My
last great experience was joining the Dutch X-Factor in 2009. Beside small auditions
I could sing for an audience of 400 people in the The Hague World Forum and to times
for an audience of 2.100 people (and national television) in Studio 21 in Hilversum.
From at least 16.000 musicians I finally ranked 11-th!
Beside these great projects I like to sing in small, intimate settings like churches,
party's or acoustic jamming with friends in cafés.
Although singing is a great passion of me, I also like to act. Since five months I join
a small theatre group in Amsterdam. We already gave some appearances and the director hopes we can make our first appearance in a bigger Amsterdam theatre.
Every week we study for it.

I hope to get my exams next June. I think I will miss the nice moments of my school. If possible I can continue my singing performance at the Haarlem Mucic Academy. And because of the fact I want to be a national kwown singer, I hope to get the auditions of The Voice of Holland, Part Two. This is a popular singing contest of one of the Dutch television broadcasting.
May be I became a national known artist!

Doordat haar ouders zelf ook zingen in het kerk-koor, begon Jennifer op 4 jarige leeftijd ook te zingen in het kinderkoor van de kerk. Naarmate Jennifer ouder werd ging ze naar het jeugdkoor en mocht ze ook wel eens solo in het combo van de kerk zingen.
Toen ze 13 jaar was heeft ze 1,5 jaar zangles gevolgd op de muziekschool in Heerhugowaard.
Ook heeft ze 3 jaar meegedaan aan een Talentenjacht van haar middelbare school, genaamd 'De Grote Prijs', waar ze twee keer 1ste werd in haar categorie.
In 2007 deed Jennifer mee met een tv programma genaamd 'Zing je zelf een TMF award' op TMF. Hierbij werd ze 7e van de honderden inschrijvingen.
In 2009 besloot ze eens mee te doen met het zangprogramma X-factor op RTL4. Voordat ze het wist had ze de liveshows gehaald. Helaas moest ze de 2e liveshow het programma verlaten. Dit was natuurlijk een geweldige ervaring en heeft nog wat kleine optredens en connecties opgeleverd.
Jennifer heeft net haar diploma aan het ROC van Amsterdam gehaald. Daar werd zij opgeleid voor uitvoerend muziekant. Naast haar opleiding treedt Jennifer ook regelmatig op in club's, café's en op feestjes. Haar grote droom is uiteindelijk een succesvol zangeres of musical ster te worden.
