I was "fortuna"te enough to have been a part of the choir for this performance. It was quite emotional. The conductor, my colleges, the soloists, and the children did wonderfully..I'll never forget it...

Just to let you all know, he said he had a six octave range, not that he could SING 6 octaves. so yes, in strictly speaking of frequencies obtained, there are actually 5 recognizable registers represented here - fry, chest, head, falsetto, and whistle. Do your research people.

are those cirrus clouds at 1:04? They look to low and well formed to be Noctilucent clouds--photo editing perhaps?

@smalin --i knew it!!! I am chorally trained, but i thought the violins sounded a lil harsh, especially the second violin in the lower register of the runs. It was a very forced tone. It sounded great but i knew something was different.

@Vojife Actually, mammatus clouds are not confined to cumulonimbus and severe weather. They appear often in altostratus, altocumulus, and cirrus clouds.

This is the last piece Maestro Casey Jones conducted with the Colorado Choir. We did it twice at the end of the concert. it was very emotional. Several people were in tears. It has such majesty--well done St. Olaf!!!!

I was wondering why it looked as if these Master Sergeants only had "5" stripes, but I forgot that the 6th stripe was still worn as a rocker (beneath) a long time ago ( SMSgts had a "roof top"). This video is pretty old. The female covers were also throwing me off;)

absolutley heavenly!!! I am a lyric baritone. I wish I had more light mechanism to sing this as a tenor. Really great job!!!
