Long, long ago, the Spirograph kit gave much entertainment - all by use of two toothed plastic circles which can vary in size, and followed by the application of a pen though a hole in one of them, onto paper. One circle engages in the other. Geometry at its best! Here we briefly look at the principle and show a few examples generated electronically - the permutations are almost infinite.
