There is a good chance that other numbers in this opera also were not by the aging Monteverdi...
I just wish they did not always show the composer conducting as if he were a 20th-century composer. Lully would not have done anything remotely like that....
Wonderful, and also: perfect diction! See! It's possible to have a high woman's voice pronounce Italian so you can hear every word (I am Italian, so I do care about that...)
