1/17/12: Last Saturday, at 馬英九's campaign headquarters Lien Chan (連戰) took the stage and in a congratulatory speech to 馬英九 referred to the nation of Taiwan as nothing more than a "district" (地區). By referring to Taiwan as a 地區 is to spit in the face of Taiwan's entire democratic development. Hey 連戰, I voted in Taiwan's presidential election on January 14th, not Taiwan's district chief (區長) election.
