Yo, my name's Sam.
I film trains as a hobby.
I've been interested in trains from a young age and have been on YouTube now for a good number of years.
I started off filming with my trusty old Sony Ericsson K750i and then moved onto video cameras. A lot of my first videos have now been deleted (a few hundred or so). YouTube doesn't play them very well.
I am now onto my third camcorder, this being the first HD one I've used (Sony HDR CX115E).
I also now have a decent Sony Tripod so I feel my videoing has improved over time.
In terms of what I film, it varies from Steam & diesel tours to freight and anything really. Even got one or two of me on my chanter (I play the bagpipes) and a few Scotland videos.
I have a model railway shelf layout which I base on the old Fort William station. This takes up half of my room but its high up so its kinda out of the way.
During my time on YouTube so far, I've met plenty of fellow train fans and would recommend the following channels for some excellent quality videos:
LetMadnessBegin
Intercity82
ay76
BristolSpotterHD
EMUKsteam
Hstman14
Robmasterman
RailphotoAnthology
xxBec3509
intercityhst
50031mad
scottishrailways
broomboi
HSThoward
mappman1000
Finally, feel free to comment, rate or subscribe my videos and hope you enjoy watching them!
