Sister Ishpriya
Born in England she has been living in Rishikesh in the foothills of the Himalayas since 1974, studying the teachings and practices of Eastern traditions committed to interfaith sharing in mutual understanding and common search.
Sr. Ishpriya holds a doctorate in psychology from the University of London. She has been recognized as a gifted teacher and directs retreats all over the world based on the spiritualities of both East and West and the practice of Ashtanga-Yoga. Firmly rooted in her own Christian tradition, Sr. Ishpriya brings together the richness of Eastern and Western philosophies.
Her spiritual direction focuses on meditation practices and guidance towards personal spiritual growth for relationships of compassion and appreciation across frontiers of race, language, cultures and religions.
